About the project
CareerLadder connects internationally trained professionals in Nebraska to career pathways, digital resources, and a professional network while fostering economic opportunity and restoring dignity through work. The project offers professional tools for immigrants and refugees—designed to be shared statewide—including career pathways guides for in-demand professional fields and digital skills training for job readiness. Services include:
- Tailored services and support both available for skilled immigrant professionals, with a special focus on the fields of engineering, law, accounting, nursing, and education
- Mentorship programming provided through Catholic Social Services’ Connectors Program
- MyCity Academy, a leadership development program with the Lincoln Commission on Human Rights
- A resource library with professional development materials, pathway guides, and digital skills training resources
